The official twitter account for the television anime series, Unhappy!, based on the manga series by Cotoji of the same name, announced the production staff and noted that the premier will be on the spring of 2016. In addition, an official website has been opened with the main visual teaser, the image above.
Oonuma Shin, will direct this anime at studio SILVER LINK. Tanaka Hitoshi will write the script. Oshima Miwa will be the animation chief director and character designer.
This is the manga plot summary:
Tennogofune Academy's is a home for students with "negative karma," otherwise known as misfortune. The school's class 1-7 has collected students burdened with negative karma. Hibari finds her first day of school ends in bad luck. Hanako noticeably suffers from poor health. Together, the two unlucky high school students might find their school life will become a "blessing."
Cotoji started running this manga in Manga Time Kirara Forward magazine on February 2014. Publisher Houbunsha released the fourth compiled volume on July 13 this year.
